London Fashion Week A/W 2010

I can't believe it's already nearly time for the London Autumn/Winter shows! This week designers from all over the world ascend on the foggy city for a weekend of frocks and fantasy. Included in this season's crew is an American designer who grew up near my hometown in Alabama, Borris Powell. I can't wait to see what he brings to the season's mix.

Paul Costelloe is up first. His show starts bright and early on Friday morning. I'm going to look out for whether the strong shapes he exhibited at his Spring/Summer show carry over into the new season. They say shoulder pads are (whew!) a thing of the past but I have to admire the subtle shape Paul put in the shoulders of his gent's blazer last Autumn and the structure in the shoulders of his sleeveless shift dresses.
